I'm getting nervous! I've made the decision to become a nurse, and have been excited about that decision for 6 months now- but I'm starting to get nervous as my acceptance to Nursing School gets closer and closer. I'm about 90% positive that I'll be accepted after this semester (making As!), but I've been hearing so many horror stories about getting kicked out for failing a single class, or even a single test (like a standardized pharmecutical test I've been hearing about). I know I'm sharp, and with work and determination I can do it, but there seems to be so much uncertainty.
Any encouragement? Am I just a giant chicken?

Well look at it this way – life is uncertain. But if you make it through you will have a valuable certification that can provide you with good wages and job security for the rest of your life. You can't go wrong with taking a chance at that.

Hang in there! Don't chicken out....
You'll be fine and, if you get nervous or unsure, you have the entire allnurses community to turn to!!

I felt the EXACT same way before I started LPN school and I made it. You will too!
Thanks, everyone--- Since I posted that, I had another class meeting for A&P 2, and realized that I really don't have anything to worry about. On top of being a dedicated student, I also have at LEAST two nurses (one a recent grad of the same school) to turn to if I hit a rough patch.
Thanks again! I have the feeling I'll still have more worries later!
