Getting acquainted

Hi from Pa.

Pa is my home. I worked 14 yrs in Ca. Things are backward and strange here. Anyone have similar thoughts? I got my very first U on a 90 day

evaluation. The person said I don't get along with people. My nursing colleagues at my job disagree. Help! Also I am 55yrs old. Is any older nurse

experiencing difficulty on the job? I need to work 10 more years,but wonder at this rate.

If your colleagues disagree then it's one of two things: either they do not want to tell you to your face, or your manager thinks she's seeing something different. I would go to the manager and ask her what the problem is. Don't be defensive, but come across in a "I want to improve my chances for a better evaluation and avoid any conflicts. Can you tell me what I need to change?"
