Georgia specific advice

Published

I am currently waiting on the Georgia Board of Examiners to accept the Macon, Medical Center of Central Georgia application to the LPN refresher course to get the temporary licence so I may start the program on May 29th. The Medical Center has sent their request and I have already applied to the board. I know the board is backed up and it takes awhile. Has anyone gone through this program? Not really sure what to expect every day, will the instructions for the program come by mail or email? Do they provide books or should I go buy my own? How long does this program take (I have to take 80 hours class, 160 hours clinical)? Any and all advice or recommendations are welcome. For now.. I am just waiting to hear something.. anything.. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

No advice? sigh..

i would call them.

Thank you for responding, the Board of Examiners of LPN are quite vague in what they are able to tell you. So, I was just mainly inquiring about what to expect in regards specifically towards the refresher course. I saw a post awhile back of someone who posted having gone through the Macon, Medical Center of Central Georgia's program. While I wait, I was just wondering what to expect.. How long before the coordinator sets up classes, do you receive books or is it all online, how long it takes to get through the theory part if dedicated to finishing as soon as possible, as soon as you are done with theory can clinicals be assigned right away or is there a waiting process, do you wear white scrubs while in clinicals,... that sort of thing. I like being prepared before I start having to scramble to get everything in order that way I am able to focus. This is my calling and can not wait to get back to it, so thank you to anyone who offers advice.
