Hi All
I am new to this forum.I need to ask a question.
Can someone guide regarding RN programs in Georgia which are less competitive in admission i,e its relatively easy for one like me (GPA 3.2) to get in through the admission.
Any program outside GA as well?
Thanxx a lot for your cooperation

I've heard Emory isn't as bad because it's so expensive they don't have as many applicants.

Emory also takes their applicants on a rolling basis, which means the earlier you apply the better your chances of being accepted.

Georgia Highlands in Rome, Ga admits roughly 100 generic students to their ADN program anually. It takes 2 years from them to get your degree. They also admit another 25 each year for a fast track program, which requires 1 less semester. As well as a bridge program from lpn and paramedics.
I was told they get between 300-400 applications per year for the generic program. The cost is fairly cheap as well. I think it is about $1200 per semester.
Their acceptance is competetive. No wait list. They base it upon a scoring sheet which basically gives more weight to your more important classes (like A&P) and less to your gimme classes. Your SAT scores are also calculated into this score to give you a number score. This score is compared to other applicants and acceptance is based upon the highest scores for the year.
If you want the rubric they use you can download it http://www.highlands.edu/academics/divisions/healthsciences/nursing/nurseworksheet.pdf,
I just completed their program and pass the nclex on the first try with 75 questions.
