Anyone else waiting for acceptance? Or already accepted to start at Georgetown in the Fall?

I am waiting for my application decision right now for the fall start CNM/WHNP. What about you?

Have you been accepted? I received my acceptance letter last week! I'm very excited! It would be nice to network some with people that I will be taking courses with!

Hi Kalynn,

I am still working on my transcripts for my application for Georgetown FNP Fall 2016. I will let you know if I am accepted.

Best of luck,

Janine

I was accepted into the program. Trying to decide if it is financially worth it, but will likely be starting in the fall.

Where are you guys located?

Will you be doing the CNM program? I know financially it is a lot of money but I figure over the course of 25-30 working years I have left it will pay for itself and then some. My husband finishes his PNP-AC this month from Vanderbilt so we are prepared for the financial costs to be happy long term in our careers.

I live just outside of Seattle Washington! What about you?

Yes, I'm in the WHNP/CNM program. I'm just worried about the financial aspect of it as I got my BSN from a private school as well. I figure it will pay itself off but the price tag is daunting.

I'm in Santa Barbara, CA : )

I do agree the price tag is almost nauseating, but at the same time I hope the dual certification will help me if I ever did relocate to an area that midwifery practice is less common.

If you do decide to continue with the program I would say I will see you in courses as we're in the same time zone! Are you a L&D nurse now?

I was just accepted into their CNM/WHNP! Excited to start. Not so excited about the price tag but hey, gotta do what ya gotta do, right?

I know what you mean acbullnurse! I am excited to start. I have watched my husband through his MSN and I'm ready to get mine done too now! Where are you located? Are you starting in September?

Specializes in L&D, Trauma, Ortho, Med/Surg.

Would anyone here be willing to share your experience/GPA, etc? :)

Sure. My GPA from my BSN is 3.81 and I have 4.5 years nursing experience mostly in pediatric ER. I've always been interested and passionate about OB though!!
