Georgetown CRNA fall 2016

Published

H! I was accepted to the Georgetown CRNA program. I am out of the country this summer and wanted to get my ducks in a row before leaving.

Can any current students me out or any new students that ere just accepted help shed some light on my questions? I paid my deposit and now I'm just waiting to hear from someone at the university. Maybe it's way to early and I need to slow my roll?

1. when do classes start in August? I think it's August 2nd?

2. how do I register, when do I register?

3. when is orientation?

4. how do I complete paperwork for financial aid?

Thanks!

Hey, congrats on the acceptance. When did you interview and how were you notified (mail/phone/email)?

Email and the second week of December :) are you going to GT as well?

I just submitted my application in Jan for the last deadline and still waiting for a response.

Ok, I would call them and ask what the timing is for interviews and what not. Good luck!!!

Sorry I can't help you... and in fact I am asking for your help....:wideyed:

I applied to Georgetown in November and haven't heard back from them. But if I am lucky enough to get an interview I want to be prepared. I saw someone said in another thread hat they weren't asked any clinical questions and the entire interview process was only about 30 mins. Was that your experience as well? And I know it sounds weird but what time of day was your interview? Thanks!

Hi were you able to get any info about timing for interviews? I emailed last week and didn't get a response....

Yeah, they told me that they're wrapping up the review process and should be notifying people by this week, probably next as well.

Sounds like they should be notifying you soon.

I had two clinical questions. I am a NP and they asked me obviously why am I now deciding to become a CRNA. Also, they asked what would I do if a patient's 02 sats were dropping.....and when I made a clinical mistake and what did I do to fix it.

Keep me updated and good luck! I'm excited to start the program this fall, sounds like a great time ;) Shoot me an email with any further [email protected]

So I think that's just one clinical question....and a very easy one at that :)

Thanks to everyone that provided information here. I'm glad I found this site because I have been anxiously awaiting hearing from Georgetown as well. A lot of CRNA schools are actually already working on admissions for 2017 so the fact that I haven't heard back regarding a program starting fall 2016 is discouraging. Its the only school I applied to; mostly because its my #1 choice but also because the admission deadlines for the other schools I considered had passed already by the time I decided to apply (December 2015). I have started preparing my applications for 2017, since I think the lack of correspondence means I didn't get in =(

Congrats to everyone starting this fall!

I would call Georgetown. They haven't contacted a lot of people still...when did you submit your application?

Good luck, let me know any questions you have.
