General Question:

Has anyone passed ALL exams first try? If so how long from start to finish? If not, what exams did you fail, and did you pass them second time around? I"m Taking Repro tomorrow and I feel I dropped the ball on this one but too late to reschedule. This will be my 3rd Excelsior Exam, any advice with Repro would be greatly appreciated.

    I failed LS1 twice n passed on the 3rd try.. Im studying for LS3 now. Hoping to test at the end of this month.. Then ill only have transition letf

    Yep. 10 months from enrollment to RN....but that was from August 2009 until June 2010. Things with the curriculum have changed, like the inclusion of math, FCCA no longer being on paper, THE EXAMS WERE CHEAPER BACK THEN, etc. But if you are referring specifically to the exams, I completed those in 2 1/2 months. It just takes drive and determination. And at my age, I didn't care about a GPA. I just wanted a pass. One of the moderators on the EC site said to me, "you know if you studied longer, your grades would be higher". But time was NOT on my side during my stent through EC. Fortunately, I got mainly Bs. I did land about 3 Cs but that included Micro after the theory exams. By the grace of God, I didn't have to repeat anything, not even the CPNE or NCLEX. It can be done.....just have to pay attention.:yes: Good luck!

    I did A&P and all the nursing exams (seven for me, a paramedic under old "nursing concepts" curriculum) in just over five months, May to October 2007. Entire program took me one year, one month, and one day ... and that was with a 7-month wait for my CPNE, from Nov 2007 (application) to June 2008 (CPNE pass). I did Micro and two CLEPs (introductory sociology, human growth and development) in the first couple of months of my CPNE wait time. I got all As and 2 Bs, graduated with a 3.78 (started with a 3.86 on my transfer credits). I studied hard because I wanted good grades!

    Thank you for the encouragement. My goal is to complete the ASN-RN program in one year or less. As I see, it can be done!
