I really screwed up in HS. I dropped out after my sophomore year. I got my GED. I went to CC. My grades we not horrible in College. I was going for Paralegal degree and almost done with the classes when I realized I didn't want it as a career. I always wanted to go into Nursing and am getting A's in my A&P class and working my butt off. Do you think I have a chance with a GED diploma? One of the schools wants a HS transcript also and this is scaring me.

Most if not all colleges will require a high school transcript as part of the admissions process, along with the requirement that one have either a high school diploma or GED. Usually the only time this is waived is for those already holding a college degree (four or in some cases even two year). Nursing programs that award diploma or ADN degrees but not colleges normally have the same requirements.
Aside from one's classes taken, one's high school transcript will list ranking and other information that not only help in the decisions regarding admissions, but an insight into what sort of student/person you were/are. Things such as types of classes taken, sports, extra circ work etc.
Long as one has a GED diploma and complete the pre-nursing sequence with a high enough GPA, don't see how just being a GED "grad" could hold you down. This is for college nursing programs, I mean. If you are applying to a diploma or ADN program, there *might* be some questions, but quite honestly that part of your life is water under the bridge. Keep working hard and get excellent grades not only in your classes but on any entry exams such as the NLN pre-nursing.

I have a GED and I'm currently in a BSN program. All schools will ask for a high school transcript, and you have to submit it for what you finished along with your GED scores. If your HS gpa is low, sometimes the scores you got on the GED parts will substitute for it a little. Not only that but most NY schools don't have direct entry into nursing programs, you have to do the pre-req classes and those carry more weight than anything else.
