Galen grads?

Hey there.. are any of you folks graduates from galen (lpn or rn)? I'm just curious how your job search is gone or how it went after passing the nclex. has the school you attended been an issue? or has anybody heard anything about that? I just got in there and I've found plenty of threads from current students, but cant find any info from people that have finished the program there and gone on to work in the field.

any thoughts, info etc would be appreciated!

I went to Galen for my LPN and graduated in August. Galen has an excellent reputation in Tampa Bay.

But there are few if any jobs for LPNs in this area.

thanks for your reply.. I've heard that alot about the jobs.. how has your job search gone since graduating? congrats on finishing the program :)

I'm subcontracting for the health department doing H1N1 vaccinations. Hopefully this job will last a few more months.

I start the LPN-RN transitional program at SPC in May :)

Hello...I was a LVN in SA TX and was in the first RN class of Galen. Most of the class is still taking boards/NCLEX. I passed about two weeks ago and just started the job search. As far as the Galen grads getting jobs....everyone that has passed in SA had job offers right away without any prob. The only issue is that the school is still under inital accrediation---so gotta wait if you wanna go on to BSN (not too many will except credits from here) but jobs--as long as you have RN they could careless where you went to school : D

Good Luck to You and everyone else!
