Hello, I was curious if anyone has taken fundamental organic chemistry or if it meets the pre-reqs for CRNA school? The course is also called elementary organic chemistry at some universities.
The course description states that it is intended for advancing nurse degrees or pre-req to PA school. Looking at CRNA requirements, they do not specify if this course meets the requirements. Hoping to learn if anyone here has any insight.
Thank you!

Most programs want either a general chemistry or even better organic chemistry. Some programs require the lab component, whereas others don't. I'm pretty sure any introduction or fundamental course does not meet the requirements for a CRNA program. But why not take the fundamental course and right after take organic chemistry. You can always email the school of choice to verify. The course can only help you in the end! Good luck

Contact your schools of interest and ask how to best strengthen your application, what courses they feel would help you prepare for school, etc. As far as what are pre-reqs, that information can be readily found on the individual schools' websites.

Weber State University has a Chem 1120, which is Organic/Bio Chem. I would definitely recommend if your program accepts it. Let me know if you have any questions!
