FTCC ADN fall 2018

I was just wondering when I should be on the look out to find out if I got accepted for start of Fall? I thought it was closer to May, but I seen that previous students from past years found out sooner, so now I'm confused. lol.

I'm also a category 1 applicant. What does that mean? lol

Category 1 applicants are placed in order from

Most points to least and Category 2 applicants will be selected after Category 1 applicants if there are still available slots. How many points did you have ?

I still have English 112/114. I have 65 without the additional competitive points. With the points a 73.

I guess see you guys laters!

At the info session or this Fall.

That's really good! I have 66 competitive points. Hopefully I'll see you in the fall or at the orientation!

Okay cool. So category 1 has the highest chance of for sure getting in? And what's the next step? We just wait on another email?

When she emailed me back the other day she said we will get another email to let us know if we are accepted and then there will be orientation for those accepted into the program. Not sure when the email will come though. She did say they no longer do info session

I'm glad your advisor or whoever emails you back appropriately, mine doesn't. Ever. Lol. Anyway, so what's really the point in the HARF? I mean, I'm super happy I got put into category 1 butttt, they could've just sent out regular acceptance letters or however that works. Lol

Haha yeah it was my advisor! They have to send a HARF to give us the opportunity to appeal our points. I know some classes that are transferred Arent always accepted so they give students the opportunity to appeal it and get more points. Now is also the time they give the extra competitive points to be added in. For example if you are an LPN or have a previous degree you get extra points. I am not sure if all Category 1 applicants get accepted but I know you have a better chance than if you were a Category 2.

Has anyone heard anything about what's next? One of my friends is in an Anatomy class and there was a girl saying they were told they would find out right before or right after spring break which is next week... I tried to ask and they didn't give me an answer. I'm so confused on why it's a big secret to when we will find out it's almost like they don't even know!

Probably because they don't know. Lol. I honestly have no idea when we will find out anything. I gave up trying to call and ask questions.

Yeah that's the point I'm at now. Everyone I have talked to says they are a Category 1 applicant so I don't even know if that's reassuring at that point. I guess we will know eventually lol. Good luck! I'll

Let you know if I hear anything else.

I know, same. I was talking to my friend about it and she goes "well if you were a category 2 applicant would you wanna talk about it?" Lol. So idk. I honestly don't think we will hear anything until May, since they took away the info sessions. Idk why it has to be some huge secrete.
