FSW Spring 2019

Just starting this thread up! This is for anyone planning on applying to FSW in the fall for Spring 2019 at FSW.

I'm currently finishing up my pre-reqs this summer 2018 term and will be taking the TEAS in the fall as well as applying to the program at the Lee Campus.

Reply back with,

What campus you are planning on applying to?

What classes you are trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format you will be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam or how did you do?

Excited to hear from you guys and to help each other out!

Which campus will you be applying to? 8 members have participated

Were you sent what classes to pick because I haven't. I've been processed as nursing but I for has reached me yet?

When you self register for the canvas course there is a section in there that says Nursing core Courses and it lists them all. I will put them here:

Under Nursing-NUR

1020- Lecture

1020L-Clinical

1025L-Practicum

then Pharmacology

Nur again class 2140

Hey guys, so I know a lot of you are probably concerned about the cost of the books and codes as well. Ive been researching what my cheapest option is and i've come up with a plan that will save me almost half the cost of the whole package which costs a little over $1000 after tax. I was able to get PDF/Ebook versions of all 4 books from a previous student all which I can share for whoever is interested. As far as the codes, within the package you are purchasing 2 codes from my understanding. There is one code for the Volume 1-3 books and another for the pharmacology book. After pricing them out separately I found them on the Pearson website for roughly $480 for both, not including tax. I myself do not plan on purchasing the physical copies of the books because I am planning on loading them onto my iPad Pro which I prefer. That being said I have also been able to find the books used for under $140 for all four. If your tight on money or just looking to save a little this might be a good option for you as well. I can post a download link for the books if anyone needs them.

If you could please post them that would help tremendously!

You have just freed me from the biggest stress associated with this whole process. I'm just gonna print out the PDFs (have access to a big office printer), and buy the access codes. $500 is definitely more reasonable than $1000.

I do not believe so. I think we will only do clinicals in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. I heard that from someone that is in the program currently.

For the peeps going to charlotte, I have a friend thats asking if theres an option to do clinicals in the Fort Myers area. Anyone know anything about this?

Did your friend ever find out this? I just got accepted to the fsw charlotte campus for fall 19 but live in Cape Coral. I am on the wait list for fsw lee. If I don't get into Lee, I will have to keep my acceptance at charlotte. Can I do my clinicals in the fort myers area? I already live an hour away from the charlottle campus so it would suck if i had to do my clinicals in the punta gorda area.

Does anyone know where clinical will be for Collier campus, for the first semester of nursing schoool?
