FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

That's probably what I'll have to do...I'm just worried about the the opening for the summer classes if I do this. But hopefully it'll all work out for me. Thanks

Thank goodness this semester is over!! How did you all do?

I got 3 As and one B. But I'm glad it is over, now to focus on Hesi exam.

I keep going back and forth between Lee full-time or part-time. There are cons snd pros for both. So I'm still undecided what to put as first choice. I know Charlotte is 3rd choice. I need help. Haha...

Got an A! And yep, you are right! With the HESI only 7 days away for me, it is time to get down to businessí ½í¸Ž Congratulations on those awesome grades Mamiluv.

MamiLuv, Also wanted to thank you for that HESI practice site reference! Amazing site. I've been on most of today and it really is so close to the test! :smug:

Hello! I'm taking my HESI on Thursday for fall college program. I took it once and got an 84 so I'm doing it again. I'm so nervous but a girl I was in A&P 2 with said she got into Spring nursing with 62 points! I couldn't believe it! The lady in the office said she would shoot for mid 70s to feel safe. I'm gonna try! Anyone have any practice tests online? I have the book but I feel it's limited.

Thats great on getting in with 62 points. I hope thats our case however the spring isnt as competitive. However I know alot of people applying that don't have the best grades so you never know. I currently have 70 with the Hesi that I took. I did pretty bad and im missing two classes.

Good luck on hesi and let us know how it went. By yhe way I like these practice test. Do all of them. Plus I also used mcgraw hesi practice test in the book.

Isn't close I wish I would have seen it before my first hesi exam. Lol

84.67 on my HESI. Maybe one or two questions were actually on subjects the book had. Nothing like the practice quizzes I took online. Some things asked I haven't thought about since Bio class. FML. Brings my point score to 70. I guess I won't be seeing y'all in the Fall.

ahh...so sorry. At least you gave it a second chance. Was the test the same as last time or harder? I have been studying non stop and I hope it isnt harder than it was the first time. I didnt study much the first time so I am hoping that this time, I do better. I got 82 I believe. So I want higher.

Did you apply anyways to the nursing program? One of my friends, took it yesterday and she got 78.67 so she applied I think with mid 60s. Its worth a try, you never know.

Wishing the average scores are low this year so we all get in!!

FLhopeful86, I sent it!

Honestly, I don't remember if it was harder since I last took it in September. Study DNA codes and what they match. That was one of my questions I remember. Know all parts of the cell and what it does. I scored over 95 in English, Grammar and Vocab so unless it's not your first language, don't worry about it too much. Know math ratios! I had like 6 of those! Did well on the section but ratios kill me. Wish they gave you a copy of the questions so you know what to study.

I'm going to apply anyway. One nursing student told me they call her class the C class because that was the average to get in. Hopeful thoughts! If I don't get in, I'll be retaking the HESI before the Oct deadline. I'll just start reading my bio book cover to cover.
