I will be trying to get into the nursing program soon and I am just curious what all they look for. I do not have the medical experience and I am afraid that this will hinder me when they choose students for the program even though I have the grades. I was thinking of volunteering at different locations. Does anyone else have any suggestions on making myself look better for the program besides the grades?

I am in term two at FSCJ to get into the program they only consider grades and the NAT test so besides grades try to do your best on the NAT test. Unlike UNF there is no interview and I think if you have worked as an EMT or a MA trained by FSCJ then you get an extra point for every year of experience but volunteering will not help you get into the program. I hope this helps
OK thanks that helps alot. I just was afraid that someone who had all the experience would be picked before me.

Hey :) I just graduated (in April) from UNF's BSN program and I didn't have any medical experience at all, I got into the program based on my grades, TEAS score and my interview. I suggest that you do really good on your interview, make a good impression of yourself, be honest and they will see your true colors :)
