FSCJ SPRING 2015

Hello everyone. Can someone give me some insight and what the science sections(bio and A&P) of the Hesi are like? I believe if I was to fail it would be baca use of those sections. It's been a few years since my A&P classes and you know how that goes when you haven't been putting what you learn to use or constantly revising. I have been studying using the evolve book, YouTube and practice questions. I am extremely nervous about those sections. I am dragging out taking the test because either way if I take it tomorrow or next week I will still miss the deadline for October 1 since I have to wait 90 days before retest if I don't pass so why not take more time to prepare. I still feel unprepared with all this reading I'm doing hence the crazy nerve thing going on. Any advice is really appreciated. Thanks all.

Hey its been 4 years since I've take a&p as well as bio. I took the test today. My score for a&p was a 92 and bio was 88. A&p was harder than bio. I studied the book mostly but I recommend you do what you are doing. I too was worried about not doing well even after studying due to me taking g those classes so long ago. Thanks lisamckinnon11 I definitely feel a little bit better. I'm really over here freaking out over this test because I don't know what to expect. What topics were covered on the sciences? And we're the questions difficult where you are torn between 2 answers or are they pretty straight forward? I hate that about multiple choice. Btw is the test all multiple choice?

Also, based on the application package for the Hesi we are only scored based on math, bio, a&p and reading comprehension. When you go take the test are those the only sections you take for the entire 4 hours or you take all 9 sections but FSCJ only look at the 4 mentioned above? Thanks in advance everyone.

You're welcime. You are only required to take the 4 sections mentioned I the packet. Bio is mostly common since. Just make sure you study the book the sections required of course and do all the practice questions. There is only 1 right answer. The questions are straight to the point. It's either you know the material or you dont. Math is really basic. Everything g you learn in the section of math is on the test. And you can use a calculator through out the math test no matter how easy the question. Reading is reading.

Thanks a lot. How long did you study before you took the test? I've been studying for about 3 weeks now. I was super busy with work plus I have a 1yr old.

I too have a one year old and work full time 12 hour shifts. Did I mention I was 5 months pregnant on top of that. Lol i study for about 2 1/2 weeks whenever I could. Thank God for my husband who kept the little munchkin busy when he was home from work. Other than late night I woke up several hours early before work and studied. It pays off. If you studied as much as you say you have, you should be fine. If you really want to give spring term a try I think k you should go ahead it won't hurt. You seemed to have studied enough 3 weeks is a good amount of time in my opinion.

I know this is stupid question but I was just confused. Do you pay for HESI A2 exam at the 'testing center' or in advance online? If its advance and online, can you please tell me and help as to where to pay for the exam. Thank you for you help.

Pay at your appointment right before you take it

Reading alot of these post trying to catch back up and I'm super worried :/ I took the HESI test again Friday and went up a couple of points to 86%. I don't really think I can get much better on it but I will be applying with a 180.3 without microbiology. Reading all of these people have 190+ has me a little bummed but if I don't get in this spring I hope I'll have a better chance in the summer. FYI anyone with a 200+ you are pretty much guaranteed a spot as long as everything else in your packet is correct. Turning in my packet tomorrow so I wish us all the best of luck!
