Frustrated Already?

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

So many people ask that question! Hey guys, how are u all doing? I am an international nurse from the Caribbean. I sat my nclex and was successful over a month ago and have been looking for a job ever since. I have not been working for two years.....thats since i have been here in the U.S. I have been applying to several places...not even a call much less to land an interview..

Boy, do i feel fraustrated! Especially when i really need a job. I really thought it would be easier.

I am now trying to do my bsn as it makes it more difficult not having it.

At home alone...just wanted to share how i feel.

Thx for reading.

Hi, i'm a new grad nurse and i feel as same as you. I got my license at the end of March, since the i have been looking for a job. I applied so many places via internet and walk-in. I didn't get any phone call from those places. When i decided to go back to school for RN program. after my LVN license, i thought it would be easier to get a job as RN. I'm living in CA now and at that time people used to say "hospitals hire more RN than LVN". Well there are more reasons why i go back to school, but after i got RN license, i realized there is no where wants new grad Rn without experiences. i feel bad..... it really depressed me :( ... i keep praying that i can get a job soon. Good luck to you !

I know just how you feel, we have got to be strong , keep trying and never give up. I will take anything i can get now, trust me, untill what i really want comes along. gonna be doing my acls...see if that will increase,my chances.. do you still have ur lvn license?

Yes i still have LVN license. it will expire in July, i'm not sure yet whether i should renew it or not
