Has anyone out there been able to transfer your credits for Stats class? If so, what did you provide so that they would accept credit? I have submitted both a class and departmental syllabus to the admissions specialist trying to find out if they will accept a particular class, but she keeps saying she needs more details to determine if she will accept the course or not.
I am wondering if they perhaps prefer to have students take their (very freaking expensive) course instead of accepting transfer credit....

I just got a copy of the syllabus and emailed it to Frontier (can't remember who exactly). I wasn't sure if mine was going to be adequate but they approved it. I also know many classmates who had their stats class approved. I'm surprised that what you sent wasn't enough. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Actually, you are a great help! I really was beginning to think that you have to take stats from them. I wonder why the syllabi that i submitted weren't enough....I sent an email offering to scan pages from chapters in the book, so maybe they will accept that....thanks so much :)
Well I got a generic email from frontier stating the requirements for the stats class must be indicated in the syllabus, so I guess they are not going to let me scan the pages from the textbook (which is indicated on the syllabus) from the chapters that the course covers (again, indicated on the syllabus). May I ask CNMidwife2Be, at which community college did you take your stats class? Do they have an online option? There has to be something out there that is not going to cost me an arm and a leg LOL

I Would love the info on your stats class as well, as I have limited tuition reimbursement so I would rather not spend a fortune on my stats class.:) Thanks.

Are you talking about a graduate statistics class or a BSN class? When I applied to FNU for class 119, all I did was mail in all the required documents and my transcript showed that I had taken a statistics class (3 credit hours) for my BSN.
I was accepted, and start classes in January.
I am talking about the stats class that they require as a pre-requisite. I took stats when I was working on my BA, but by the time I get to the stage to apply to Frontier, it will have been over 10 years. Sooo, I am trying to be proactive and take it again. Since they list the requirements for the class on the website, I assumed that you would need to get approval if you were to take the stats class anywhere other than Frontier. So Mel, are you saying that you did not need to send anything specific to them to approve your class? What was the level of the class on your transcript?
They did not accept the syllabus from the local community college as they said it was too vague. I sent them a syllabus from another community college that has much more detail, but they said that it does not include the ANOVO so they will not accept it. It is becoming rather irritating and a bit off-putting.

Unfortunately they don't have online classes.

Mamagui, I believe off the top of my head it was a junior level. However I took it in 2011. I did not have to send in my syllabus for approval. I took my statistics class at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, they have an online class you can take. They do not charge out of state tuition.
CNMmidwife2be- I am in South Carolina, but I appreciate your help :)
Mel- I think we get in trouble if we post people's names, but I will PM you
