  1. it did! thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thanks SO much for all the support Ive gotten in the past two days from you all. I just wanted to let everyone know that I PASSED!
  3. Thanks so much. Yeah im just kindof messing around on youtube like a loser I guess, haha. I wish it would just be 10am already! either way i have to know! I guess if i failed i will just work as a med aid but its just so hard to think i tried so hard and it may have gotten me nowhere. Glad to know im not alone tonight! Good luck to you!
  4. Im going crazy. I feel beyond sick. in about 10 hours i should knwo if i failed which i feel is just waiting to be confirmed. I posted another thread but if theres anyone else waiting for results talk to me in here because I need someone else who can relate!
  5. CONGATS! THATS SO GREAT! :monkeydance:
  6. LOL! I mean, the situation isnt funny but I giggled about the zombie dog. That really does suck though. I probably would have broke down crying if the testing center said I wasnt on the list. Thanks for the encouraging words but at this point Im really not sure. its been more than 24 hours now so just waiting and refreshing the quick results page every 2 minutes, lol. Ive heard that the BON website often has your license number before Pearson Vue posts your results, is that true? Thanks so much though.
  7. Thank you. Ive read 100s of posts on here now. I try to convince myself that there is hope and that I could have passed, but I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I also dont want to try to convince myself that I could have passed only to see that I failed. Do most people get results in 24 hours? Ive read a lot of people have. If so that would be good... because as more time goes by the sicker I feel and I definately cant sleep.
  8. Im currently awaiting my Nclex results so i dont know how I did. I certainly feel like I failed though. I do know that I studied like an insane person and was told I was trying to cram too much information and to chill. I did atleast 6000 practice questions and reread almost all of my notes from school, looked over old care plans, etc. It hurt me because I felt all that studying was for nothing and felt so unprepared when presented with the questions. I hope you can have your dreams come true. I think its great that youve kept spirit up. Im nervous about how I will handle it if I do not pass. However, yeah... I giggled a little when I read that the more you study the more you start to kindof self diagnose yourself with things... me and my classmate always had a joke *Cheers to nursing school, making us more paranoid each day! Lol. Sorry, I know the situation isnt funny, just want you to know that youre not alone in feeling like your entire life has been taken over!
  9. Hey. I felt exactly the way you did a month into my nursing program. I felt rather stupid because a lot of the people in my class had worked as aids for years and I had never so yeah, learning simple things like changing an occupied bed were nerve wracking. I had times where I truly didnt think i would ever finish or be comfortable. The best advice I can give you is to try to not look too much into the future. Take it one day at a time, dont give up until you give yourself the full chance th achieve your goals. You clearly want to be a nurse or you wouldn't have strived to get such an amazing spot in the program you're in. The truth is, I think patients get a bit of a kick out of student nurses. Don't worry about looking or feeling stupid, just congratulate yourself at the end of each clinical day knowing that it's one more day that you made it through. Just imagine yourself getting through this semester, and worry about next semester when it comes. I hope you stick it out, I was always told by my instructors that its okay to need to learn skills. In my personal opinion, you can never know too much but its your heart you need to follow. If you have a passion for nursing, remember why you started. Make a list of aspirations and things you would like to achieve. Imagine yourself being confident and being done with the program. I know its a struggle but try not to give up. :icon_hug:
  10. I just don't know what to do. Earlier I was freaking out but in a way where I was able to laugh it off and realize that everyone thinks this way. Now I have had time, (took the test at 9am and its currently a little after midnight now) to completely analyze my situation. I knew this test was going to be hard. I studied hardcore on ERI and completed a review course. This morning when I went, I was nervous but felt rather confident because I had been scoring superior on ERI almost everytime I tested. I know all the test taking tips they give you on how to get plenty of sleep and etc, but it just didnt work for me. I slept for about two hours and woke up beyond exhausted. As silly as this might seem to some, my best friend gave me a necklace last Christmas that says Strength and Dream with little charms in circles... it was very symbolic and has been with me through a lot. I wanted to take it with me this morning as a good luck charm, but more than anything for comfort. We live 22 hours away from eachother and seriously, she's like my sister. I couldn't find it. I started panicking which is the last thing I needed to be doing 4 hours before I had to sit down and take my nclex. I never did find it, left, and just felt like crying the whole way there. I now priority wise I shoudlve been focusing, and I did go over some last minute notes, but I just kept thinking how could I lose something so important to me. Which then made me think of how I had that necklace wrapped around my wrist at my grandmothers funeral. Which then made me realize how proud my grandmother was that I was in nursing school. Dont know why im telling you all this on here becuase i dont even talk to anyone about it face to face. Guess im just spazzing out. thanks in advance to all those who read this and respond. I wore my nursing school uniform around her the day before the last time I saw her. This happened last february. I was thinking too much and tried to refocus. By the time I actually got to the exam center I felt like a wreck. I feel retarded. Didnt eat before going, didnt really sleep before going, and allowed my emotions to make it impossible to have a clear head during it. It doesnt help that I had 147 questions and I dont know if thats good or bad but I wish I wouldve got 85, seems like a good number of questions. Besides the fact that if I fail I can't get a job now, I don't want to dissapoint my parents, my classmates, my instructors, my friends, I just feel humiliated. I had times in clinicals where I was so thrilled to be there. I loved being in surgery and everything just felt amazing, I felt like I belonged there. Im 19 and I never worked as an aid, so each day of clinicals was new and terrifying but so thrilling and worth every moment of dedication and effort I put into studying and praying. My motivation is because I know there are nurses out there who treat patients poorly, Ive seen it happen to people I love. I just want to be someone who can actually make a difference in someones day, generate a smile or just have a positive attitude. I feel I could write an essay on all the information I memorized and studied, but none of that matters because the questions were things I had no idea how to approach. I swear I got like 10 all that apply questions and am not confident on any of them. Okay this itself is like an essay now so I apologize for the never ending rambling. Thanks to anyone who read.
  11. Well now im nervous because for some reason I cant even remember the last question on my exam. I went to 147 and it shut off. I was confused towards the end and analyzing everything. I started having a few that I know I got right, but also a few that I could only narrow down to two answers and then attempt to guess. I cant believe I cant remember my last question.
  12. Hey. Yeah the questions thing is pretty horrible. Everyone says it doesnt matter, but I totally know what you mean by going numb around question 80. I went to 147 and shut off and can't get the number out of my head. I feel I jeopordized myself because after question 85 I kept thinking about how it didnt shut off at 85, because Ive heard if you shut off at 85 it is almost always a good sign. I think theres a lot of us though that go over 85, just not everyone always wants to admit it. I was thinking, I know you can get results in 48 hours, but thats only weekdays right? If so I feel horrible because I took mine this morning, and 48 hours puts me at saturday, and then Monday is a holiday. If I have to wait until Tuesday I just dont know what to do with myself. Im very sympathetic for those who live in CA because ive read many threats about how they have to wait weeks. It hasnt even been 24 hours for me and im going insane. Good luck to you, be sure to let me know if you passed!
  13. Thanks for the nice words. Everytime I read on here someone passed I start feeling better. I think its just overwhelming for everyone I guess... what matters to me is that I did the best I could, and I did. Theres nothing I couldve done to prepare differently really. CONGRATS!!! IM REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU!:roll :balloons::monkeydance:
  14. Took my NCLEX today. I studied harder really hard. Most people in my class took it before me and they got between 80-90 questions and all passed. One girl got 205 questions and passed. I personally got 147 questions and feel like that means I wasnt good enough to be stopped at 85. I dont know what to think but my head hurts SO bad. I did ERI daily and did 3 review books. I constantly studied. I dont feel it helped me much. I know people say not to get caught up on questions but Ive read a lot of threads on her and most people pass at 85 so im beyond nervous. I feel so sick. I wanted to be confident with myself because I did well and school and tried so hard. no ammount of review questions couldve prepared me for the shock of seeing words that I had never even seen before on the exam. The only ones I feel POSITIVE I got right were the math ones.
