Ok, so I feel like a complete idiot here..but maybe you guys can help!
I need to send in my i9 form.
I went to get it notarized, but the guy said he needed my info faxed from a 1-800 number. I didn't get what he was saying. He told me I had to go to the HR department where I work to get it done.
Is this form verifying that I work here in the US so I have to do it from a superviser or human resources?
Or do I just get it notarized & fax it to American Mobile & they fill out part 2 b/c they are my new employers?
I'm so confused.
Does the notary fill out section 2? Or does he just prove that it's actually me?

Had a similar problem a couple of months ago since notaries refused because they are not the employer. However, what I did was have the copies of the 2 proofs of ID notarized & faxed them to the company, along with the completed I-9. It is your agency's responsibility to verify the documents for the I-9 and not the job of a notary-remind them of that.
