For current CRNAs...

A question for current CRNAs...what is your schedule like? Do CRNAs work varying shifts, like regular RNs, such as days, 3 12s, etc? Do they recieve night/weekend differentials?

hi, schedule is sorta like this.

One 8, 2 tens, a twelve. 3 times a month take call from home. 7p-7a during week x 2 per month. One 24 hour weekend call per month. all from home. Total 3 call shifts.

I work one 24 hour shift which I work 12 hours in the mian Or then at 1900 I go to L&D and do the last 12 hours. Sometimes I'm up all nights doing spinals and epidurals and other nights I go to sleep around 1am.

Then 2 days later I do a 16 all in the main OR.

But I'm just an example. All of us have different hours depending upon your preference.

CRNAs at my place of employment do varying shifts. I usually work Mon-Fri 7-3:30 with minimal weekend call. I have to work Christmas Eve this year but this is the only holiday that I must work this year. I usually pick up one Sunday 10 hr. shift a month for extra money. Some people where I work do a 24 hr. shift and 2 8's, and others do 4 10 hr. shifts. We have people who do the same overnight call shifts every week so the rest of us just need to fill in when they go on vacation.

I posted this statement about schedules on another thread:

Hope it helps.
