For those that have applied......

My time to apply to CRNA school is a couple years off still, but I'm curious. How many schools did you apply to? There are about five schools that interest me but geographically they are pretty far away from each other. Does five seem to be too many, too less, about right, or whatever floats my boat?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone? :uhoh21:

sorry no response yet. i applied to 3 schools. i had planned on applying to 5. i got interviews at 2 out of 3 and was accepted to the first i applied to. so i went with it because it was my first choice. 5 is a good number. best of luck.

I applied to 3 schools and interviewed at all of them. I was an alternate for the first and accepted to the next two. I had a hard time deciding on the two but I chose based on location, cost, quality of clinical experience and start date.

Applied to three, interviewed at all of them. Accepted to two, alternate at the third. I'd say apply to all five you like. Good luck!

I will add one more thing. It gets very costly applying to and interviewing for CRNA school, especially if you have to travel a long distance for the interview. The more schools you apply to, the better your odds of getting in, but you have to balance that with how much you can afford to spend on interviewing for programs. I think 3-5 is a good number.

Also, you have to take into account when the schools interview. You may be able to apply to a few schools first and if you need to, you can apply to others later. Some schools have 'rolling admissions' so you find out soon after interviewing if you are accepted or not. Keep this in mind when planning your application process.

one application, to one school, one interview...just lucky i suppose.

me too.... one application...one interview...and accepted.

I think you should do whatever is right for you. I applied to one school. It is the only program that I want to attend. We shall soon see how it turns out.
