FON 241?

Published

I am planning on taking FON 241 at Rio Salado and am unsure in whether to take the 8 week or 14 week class. I heard the midterm and final are proctored, is this in both the 8 week and 14 week class? I also heard it is a hard class, would I be better off taking the 14 week class? If I can I'd like to get it done with and do the 8 week version but I worry about the difficulty level. If anyone who took the class could give me adivce I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm considering taking it with a different school too. Is it better at Chandler Gilbert?

I loved this class but it would be rough to take it over 8 weeks. Definitely doable, and I would say take this as an 8 week class over say A&P... but if it is your first exposure to the digestive system it might be a little crash and burn. Just depends on you really. If you have the time to put in, I'd say you can do it. Personally, I don't think the proctored exams are difficult, but I somehow retain this information better than some other info. If you can familiarize yourself quickly with new terms and processes you should be okay. If the digestive system is completely new - it might be a little more difficult.

I've taken A&P and a nutrition class before so that's good to hear. I may check out Mesa just to be safe because I'll be taking both HCR 230 and 240 8 week classes at the same time and I hear it's easier there. But that's good to know someone didn't struggle in the class at Rio, I'll still consider taking it there.

I did not have to take proctored exams when I took this class online. I did it at a different Maricopa community college, but now I can't rememebr which one. I think Mesa!

And I took it as an 8 week, and it was just fine! Definitely one of the easier prerequisites, and I actually found it interesting!

Did you take it at Rio?

Nevermind, ignore my comment above. I just saw your other reply and you said you took it at Mesa
