Following up with a call?

Most of the jobs I have applied to have been online. They stressed applying online and the HR seems rather strict. So, I'm not sure if calling would be the right thing to do?

I've only heard back from 2 so far (that was a while ago)

I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and call the HR and check up on my status?

Would it be best to call HR or directly the nurse manager?

:confused::confused::confused:

Call the nurse manager, all that they can tell you is no. You have one chance to live life. Who cares if they say no, there are other jobs out there. Keep you chin up!!!!

Call anybody and everybody that will take your call.

HR and nurse managers are overwhelmed with applications.

If you get to speak with someone in person.. that will speak volumes.

Call every single number you have, I got my job by calling the nurse manager instead of faxing my resume. It shows you really want the job instead of just waiting around. Take it from a new grad, calling works.

Call, you do not have anything to lose. I am in the same position and I am just now realizing, after turning in over 80 applications, that if I do not call my application will remain in a blackhole of cyberspace. We have to be aggresive in this job market.

Good Luck in your search!
