Looking into the FNP program at Chamberlain. Wondering if any of you are currently taking program? How is it? Are you working part time or full time? Family? How are the practicum's? Was it hard finding preceptors?
Sorry so many questions but I feel like I need to have a better understanding of the program before taking the plunge. Any information you could give me I would appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Hello!
I am in the FNP program currently and I am taking leadership and statistics. I will start Patho in the March session and clinicals in Septmeber. I am 25 weeks pregnant and working full time (3 12 hr night shifts) currently. It's funny tho because Im due in April, literally the weekend after Patho finishes and right when spring break starts!! (talk about good timing!! lol) Anyway, the first 7 classes are extremely paper intensive so I'm glad to be getting those out of the way. It is very doable for the first 7 classes working full time with family. You have the option to take 1 class every 8 weeks or double and take 2 classes up until patho and pharm. (you can double patho and pharm if you want, but have to sign a waiver, but is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED as to the amount of information you have to learn in 8 weeks.) Feel free to PM with more questions!
Hi, thanks for your response. Did you take one the first 7 weeks or double up?
They only allow you to take NR 500 first, then you can double starting your 2nd session.

Hello Athomas2244,
I am currently in the admissions phase for the FNP program at Chamberlain, and I wanted to know if I could ask you a few questions about the program, and your experiences with it.
1. How long did it take to receive notification of acceptance?
2. How was your experience with their finacial aid advisors?
3. What advice would you give to new students who are entering the program? What were some of the pitfalls of the program
4. Did you have a hard time finding preceptors?
5.Have you completed the weekend intensive? If so, how did you prepare for it?
I know that I have alot of questions, if you can answer more questions, I would really appreciate it. You can PM me or better yet, you can contact me at [email protected].
Thank you in advance for your time.
