Florence

Anyone here that works in the Florence area? I graduate in the spring and live just across the TN-AL line and am considering looking for work in Florence as hubby wants to move closer out that way. It's a really nice town too I think..so I wouldn't mind being a little closer as they have more to offer than this rural area I live in lol.

Just curious which hospitals there are, if they have good reps, what the new grad orientation is like, new grad pay..etc. I'm scared to death of working at a facility that is high ratios and poor job satisfaction. Too many of those places around!

Thanks for any imput..I've searched but can't find anything from Florence nurses. If anyone knows ANYTHING about this area (I guess this would also be like the Muscle Shoals area too) I'd appreciate it!

I work in Florence. The main hospitals in the Shoals area are:

I work at ECM. There is a lot of variety to choose from (areas to work in). Our new grads get 3 months of orientation on days with an experienced preceptor and then go to their shift with a preceptor for 2 weeks to a month (I think). I don't know how much they start new grad pay, but I will try to find out.

I tried to PM you but your box is full (dang 25 messages! lol) Would love to hear more about ECM. I emailed HR but no response. Am really interested in finding out more about Florence. It's such a nice town. We are interested in moving to possibly Wayne county TN as it's still close to family, close to Florence and very cheap housing/land.

Please PM me if you see this!!! I really want to learn more about ECM! :)
