I'm confused - need to clarify. You obtained your BSN 20 years ago but only worked as an RN for 1 year. Then, you went back to school and became an LPN 3 years ago? Is that correct?

If so, I wonder why you just didn't re-activate your RN license instead of going the LPN route. At any rate, that's what you will have to do now since you apparently have not practiced as an RN in nearly 20 years because most BONs require a refresher course after a 5 year lapse.

Moving to the Florida forum to help you get more targeted responses. Best of luck.

If you're physically fit, intelligent, serious about returning to nursing, and make a good in-person presentation, you may possibly be hired in LTC.

Suggest you first take an RN refresher class... that will seal the deal for me as a hiring manager... if you can demo the above.

Good luck!
