I'm a senior is high school going into nursing next year. Could anyone tell me what I should expect, and also any tips you have? I can't wait to get into nursing and am trying to absorb as much information as possible. Thank you.

As a long-time nurse (started out as an Army medic) I can say it seems like you have the right attitude starting out. Get as much experience in as many areas of nursing so you can make a decision what area you really want ot go into.
Other than that, hold on to the youthful exuberance you exhibit!

Have you already applied to schools? Have you been accepted?
Yes I will be going to a school called Millikin university, a school in Decatur Illinois
I am going to move this to general nursing student so you can hear from fellow students!

I'm not sure how your state is set up, with regards to how the nursing programs work, but here, you have a lot of prerequisites and general ed to complete prior to applying for the actual program. Is it that way for you, or do you go directly into nursing courses?
