First Week Down

Published

Hello everyone,

Hooray, my first week in nursing school LVN is done. My program is 18 mos. We go one semester, get a summer break and then go two more semesters. I have been a CNA for almost 7 years and have had many varied experiences in healthcare. I have been wanting to be a nurse for a very long time and I am so excited that I got into my program and have completed the first week. We got checked off on our vital signs, which I know well, but it was stressful because the skills went step by step and if you missed a step you wouldn't pass. We have our first written test on Tues.

I know I have a long way to go, but I am starting to get to know my classmates and they are great and I hope I can keep being positive through this whole experience. :yeah:

Specializes in LTC, SNF.

May I ask which school are you in and what state?:)

Specializes in Pediatrics, OB/GYN, ER, Geriatrics.

Congrats on making it through your first week! I also just finished my first week of LVN class and shocked that I am still breathing...so much to learn and study...best of luck to you on your test...our first test is on January 25th and so nervous. The instructor keeps saying that he lectures hard and tests easy, so we will see how easy the test is...:uhoh3:
