Hooray, my first week in nursing school LVN is done. My program is 18 mos. We go one semester, get a summer break and then go two more semesters. I have been a CNA for almost 7 years and have had many varied experiences in healthcare. I have been wanting to be a nurse for a very long time and I am so excited that I got into my program and have completed the first week. We got checked off on our vital signs, which I know well, but it was stressful because the skills went step by step and if you missed a step you wouldn't pass. We have our first written test on Tues.
I know I have a long way to go, but I am starting to get to know my classmates and they are great and I hope I can keep being positive through this whole experience.
