first job interview

Hi! Quick question. I will be graduating soon, and have my first interview lined up at a local hospital. The HR person told me to wear business attire. Ok no problem. Half of the people I've talked to have told me that a blazer with dress pants are ok, the other half said no, skirt with heels to go with the blazer.

Can anyone give me any advice, and maybe I'll go with the majority. I've been a mom for 10 years now and havent shoved my feet in heels for close to that long!!

sign me....cant wait to graduate!!!

If I were you I would wear what you feel most comfortable in because ultimately if you are not comfortable at the interview in what you are wearing it will show and then you may not get the job....

obviously you wouldnt ever wear a skirt to work - I think women wearing professional business attire such as heels (closed toe of course) and a pantsuit looks great

I think that if you know anything about the company it would help...sometimes you can be really sneaky and call someone and find out - or wander in and see what people wear....

If you wear a skirt then it needs to be knee or lower...obviously...

There are some really good dress tips on Monster.com

Wear whichever you are more comforable in. If you haven't work heels in a long time (don't blame you) you may want to wear a small heel or flat, but if you do that I would go with the nice pantsuite.

Good luck!

I wore a nice COMFORTABLE pants suit....was offered 5 jobs out of 6 interviews!!!

Be a few minutes early, no loud make-up or perfumes, take a few extra copies of your resume and references, smile, have a few questions prepared, know a little bit about the hospital you are interviewing at...

You'll do great!!
