First Interview. Is this normal?

Hello All.

I have an interview for a state mental health facility and they told me to bring a copy of my: Resume, Application, Drivers License, Nursing License, Social Security Card, BLS, and Diploma. Is this normal for them to ask for me to bring all of these forms for the interview? What is your take on this?

Yes it's normal...

Not surprising at all, especially for a mental health facility. They're usually stricter about obtaining applicant information upfront than medical facilities, due to the nature of psych.

I guess it is normal. I interviewed at the my county mental health facility in November. I had to bring everything that you listed plus my college transcripts. I brought it all along, but I found it intrusive for the 1st interview. I thought maybe for a 2nd interview or at the point they were going to do the background check. That's a lot of personal information without a job offer on the table, IMO.

yes it's very normal, especially for county or state facilities. goodluck on your interview!

Proud Nurse. My thoughts exactly. They also asked for the transcipt or copy of the diploma. Well hopefully it goes well.

Thank you everyone for your replies thus far.

Most facilities won't ask for your drivers license, unless driving is part of the condition of employment. Everything else they've requested is reasonable.
