First Interview... HELP!!!

Published

Hello all. I have an Interview this coming up for a labor and delivery position... I'm very nervous as this is going to be my first real ever Interview. Any suggestions on types of questions that they may ask and how I should prepare for it. Anything would truly help. Thank you.

Be prepared to talk about yourself. Why you think you are the best fit for that job. What you will bring to the table. They are not so interested in what you have done in the previous company/organization but what you will and can do if you are selected for this position. Research the company and make sure you know something about it. You can use that knowledge to pose a question when they ask you if you have any questions. I usually carry a note pad and I would have written down my questions from home already. I usually pull it out and they are always impress by that. Only respond to what you are asked. Smile all the time and give good eye contact. They may ask you how do you stay organized? You could say you use an at a glance calendar or your organize and plan a day ahead on line in your calendar. Remember to dress simple yet very professional and say thank you at the end of interview. You can also send then a thank you letter after you leave to show further interest in the job. I have read a lot on job interviews in the Sunday paper every week. It is good information. Take care and good luck until then.:):yeah:

I really like your quotes. "The sky is the limit" is not new but others are strong hits. I am currently experiencing some brick wall in my PhD journey. Truly, I am seeing how badly I need to complete the course successfully.
