Hello,
I am a new grad (graduated December 2010) and I was lucky enough to get an interview for my dream job in a cardiac hospital. I passed the first interview with HR and now I have a second phone interview scheduled on Monday with the DON and the unit manager.
I am very nervous because I don't really know what to expect. The position I applied to was for new grads so they know I'm a new grad and hopefully won't go too crazy on the clinical questions.....
I love cardiac and I did my final preceptorship on a medical cardiology floor, this would really be my dream job. Can you give me any advice? Anything I should review?
Also, does any of you work in a cardiac hospital? And if so, how is it to work in a specialty hospital? Is it good to start my career there? The hospital I'm interviewing with is specialized in cardiac care and they only do that, there aren't other units in the hospital.
Sorry for the questions but it would be nice to have some from experienced nurses since I am new and I have never worked as an RN yet.
Thank you.

Hello, I'm replying to your question , or should I say commenting because I just posted a similar question. I'm graduating in two months and I, too, dream about working in a CVICU.
I don't see any replies here, so I thought I would ask you how your interview went because I, too, don't know what to expect...
Thank you and I hope you got the job =)
Azu.
