First Anatomy Lab

Man, am I in for a LOOOONG semester. I had my first Anatomy lab last night... we already had our first test and a second one that needs to be taken in the open lab before our next scheduled lab class. Tons of homework and reading were assigned too.

On the plus side my instructor seems really nice (and energetic) and I really like her teaching style.

It's going to be one long, but I think pretty, fun semester!

Who else had their first lab? How was it??

I had my first A&P lab last night. It is so fast paced. No tests yet (thank God!), but he's already brought out the dead cat to teach us various membranes and organs. No homework either, we're left to our own devices. Thankful for the 3 day weekend so I can study.

My A&P lab was my first class of the semester. I can tell it's going to be challenging. We haven't had any tests. Our first test is around the 2nd week in September. Needless to say, until then we will be studying the different parts of the body and their location. My instructor told us we will have to memorize about 150-200 terms but only will be tested over 35 on the practical. Oh boy. It's not the location of the body parts I don't get, it's having to memorize the looongg complicated names.

To make it so bad, I'm only scheduled to go to lab once a week on a Monday. That is not enough time for me to learn anything so I go to open labs at least one or two times extra a week. So far so good. My instructor is great also so that makes it a little better. It definitely will be a long/challenging/fun semester, but I'm up for the challenge.

I had my first lab on last tuesday. Our lab was on landmarks, regions, and directional terms the info discussed in chapter one. I have managed to learn just about all the terms I don't think its close to 150 but I understand chapter one pretty well right now. I agree with you its going to be a long semester but I'm ready for the challenge. I'm excited about the long weekend filled with studying.

I had my first A&P II lab on Thursday...I was honestly way more excited in A&P I. We're learning the endocrine system right now & we have 19 hormones to memorize..that parts not too bad. We're about to learn the heart, which I find interesting. Our lab prof is a grad student, and it seems like she loves giving busy work.

You're lucky! We've been utilizing lab to do more lecture. So it's been..6 hours of lecture a week! lol
