I have just recently pass my nclex after 3 year of finishing school . Work at a hospital as phlebotomist for 13 years. I went see a lady in Human Resources about job working as a nurse there. She told that she don't think they could hire me because I have been out of school and I need a course to refresh my memory. I thought thAt is what orientation was for. Your thoughts. Do I need this class ,she said this not the place work now. Go to home health care or agency and come bk.i was so upset they way she spoke to me.

How long has it been since you finished school and taken your NCLEX? If there has been a long gap, I can understand there being concerned about how long it's been since you finished school. If it has been a while, have you done anything in that time to keep up with your skills/knowledge?

You are an "old" new graduate and less employable because of it. Most new grad programs require that you've graduated within one year of the program's start date. It sounds like she did give you good advice. Some places would have just ignored your application and left you wondering.
The only think I have done really is two refresher course in class with live speakers. Fuere Nursing and Kaplan classes
Oh ok
