Finally!

After 6 years of patiently waiting I FINALLY got into Nursing School! I am so pumped!

The frustration of trying to get into those impacted pre-req Anatomy, Physiology, & Micro classes that most usually drop out of because of the difficulty....or students realizing that these classes are just not for them. I just call them "space-wasters" because they took a spot that I could have had. The frustration of being told in a generic letter that you are simply not good enough based on your 3.4 GPA or you weren't lucky enough to be chosen when the acceptance committee was pulling students names out of a hat. The frustration of feeling like it's never going to happen....it finally paid off!

I'm not going to pay $118,000 that West Coast University was asking for (Although I got in.) You know that program: "Get you BSN in 39 months!" If you feel like paying the same amount as you would a house then go for it! Keep in mind that most schools will not accept WCU, Everest, and similar schools as a transfer, so if you plan on getting a higher degree you are sort of wasting your time as well as your money.

So excited! I got into Associate of Science in Nursing program for the Fall 2010 term at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, PA :D

For those of you who feel like giving up, don't. Persevere...please! I feel like I just won the Miss America pageant! You know when the the announcer calls your name and you start hyperventilating, tearing up, and fanning your face? That's totally how I feel right now and let me tell you it's an awesome feeling!

Congratulations polkadots34! I am sure you will make a great nurse. I don't know too many people that would have persevered for 6 years, but you did and now it's your time to shine! :yeah:

Congrats again!

Congratulations!!!!
