Finally got CPNE date!!

Just wanted to say Good Luck I test the first of May in Utica. Getting that e-mail makes you very excited at first and then very nauseous. We are almost there!!! :w00t:

Thank you!! Good luck to you too!! What are you using to study? I'm doing Sherri's online workshop and of course the study guide. I've also ordered the wound and the clinical skills kit to practice on. My bedroom has been turned into a hospital room!! lol

Same here I have a makeshift IV pole in my bedroom and I ordered the skills kit with the wound, so crap lying around everywhere. Also doing Sheri's online workshop and decided going to do her one in person too in April - want to make sure I only do this one time!! I have the mnuemonics on flashcards taped to my bathroom mirror and the wall of my bathtub plus loaded on my phone and computer!! Working on Documentation and Careplans this month with labs thrown in all the time. Next month going to start putting it all together and doing PCS start to finish along with careplans and documentation. I have copied all the forms we will use at the CPNE and made up packets so I am used to them by the tiime I get there.

Cathy how long did it take you to get your CPNE date? They told me when I enrolled in October that the wait time was 2 months, but I just got an email from my advisor saying that it is 4 months. The thought of worrying and fretting for 4 months kind of pushes me over the edge!

Paid for CPNE right before Christmas and got my date end of January. I put in ready date of first of May in Utica and got May 11th in Utica. Decided I needed four months to get ready for this-my goal is to only take it once!!!

I am almost there too, I have LS3 & Repro left. Unfortunately my work schedule has been crazy the past few days, so I push my goal of finishing back to March 15th. I also am no where near a clinical site & will have to travel long distance no matter what, so I plan to choose by whichever site has the shortest wait time. Has anyone ever heard of any one clinical site just being the worst or anything?

all I have heard is that the npac has the shortest wait times.

OMG! That is my date too, but I'm going to Madison, Wiscosin. I did not even realize it was friday the 13th when I accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too am scheduled the exact same weekend April 13th-15th @ Grady I've taken Clinicals before this will be a second time around for me. last time @ St. Mary's in Racine. Failed due to Lab repeat ran out of time twice. Passed two patients that morning everything was suppose go well but I guess not... Oh well Second times a charm!!!!!! I guess I'll see u there......

That's not necessarily all true if u want an earlier date. I paid Feb. 27th called Feb. 28th got acceptance and date for April 13th-15th someone cancelled. U have call everyday cuz someone will cancel...

Hey!! That is great!! Did you take any workshops? I am taking Sherri Taylor's online workshop. She also offers a mock checkoff the day before the clinical exam so I will be attending that on Thursday. Are you staying at Excelsior's recommended hotel or a different one? That's encouraging! Thanks for the info. I read somewhere that you have to have a physical before you can apply for the CPNE. Is that right and are there any other requirements that I should know about so I'm not set back time-wise?
