Hello to all!
I have been reading this forum for a few months now, after submitting all my applications and checking the mail daily like a little kid, I finally resolved to the fact that I was probably not getting in to any nursing school in the Fall... I was just hoping to be able to sit tight through the summer until I heard about the schools for Spring 2009... then today.. SUNDAY I go and check the mail, and there it was.... The thick envelope with a letter to congratulate me on my acceptance to Georgia Baptist School of Nursing! I am seriously in awe! Everything that I have worked so hard for, all the posts that I read so jealous that I had not heard and they had... it is finally my turn to tell everyone good news!
I want more importantly to tell those of you who have not heard to HANG IN THERE!!! Just when you think you are down and out... all the hard work pays off.. and when you hit those inevitable walls... keep going.. I hit a few, and felt like maybe this isn't for me... but then when you get the letter it is all worth it!
Thank you so much everyone for all your information and encouragement throughout this process, I look forward to seeing everyone in the new forums for Nursing Student!
Best of Luck to everyone! You are in my thoughts and prayers as I know I have been for you! :loveya: YEAH!!!!!

That is so totally awesome! I am 49 and had the same good news this Spring. I've been trying to get in for two years and it finally happened for me too. I am originally from Atlanta so I know about Georgia Baptist. GOOD FOR YOU! I am out in New Mexico now.
You GO Girl!

Congratulations!! :yeah:You're right, all that hard work HAS paid off. WAY TO HANG GIRL!! I refused to give up last year. Recently, I received my letter of acceptance in the mail. Praise God!! I try to teach my 4 children to "never give up" and let me tell you..when they throw that right back at your face...it resonates LOUD & CLEAR!!
Many thanks to everyone who has replied!
I truly love this site, and the members! Everyone is so encouraging and helpful! If you know of any new students who are not awarae of allnurses.com try to recommend it to them! It is a place where none of us feel alone!
Keep up all the good work! Sincerely!!!

I understand what you mean fully!! I also discovered that I was accepted on Friday....It was soo overwhelming!! what a great feeling! When I first saw the letter in the mail box I was positive it was a rejection letter...It was just a normal school envelope...not at all what I had envisioned "The Acceptance Letter" to look like...I remember feeling a frown on my face, then instant joy as I started reading the first sentence....We are happy to inform you....I'm so excited and ready to start the program in August....good luck to everyone!!!

Congratulations on your acceptance, great feeling isn't it!!
It looks like we will all be seeing each other in the student nursing forum in the fall, and we will all have to keep each other updated on all of the things we are doing in our programs!
Anyone else excited for clinicals to begin!

Hi NewMexicoJohn, I was wondering how you are liking your nursing program at Santa Fe so far (as I was reading from your other posts on allnurses). I am applying for their LVN-RN transition for Spring 09, and was hoping you could give me some ideas as to how you like the program and their faculty and clinical sites. :wink2:
