I have a test coming up and I feel so sick over it!
If you can remember from med surg - when it comes to respiratory, what was an area or section that was most tricky to you or you felt you could use more review?
Or what were some things that helped you remember certain concepts?
I've done study questions, I've read, etc. I just feel like I don't feel prepared :-/
I have to get a good grade this test!

In our hospital teach back is now our preferred method of teaching when possible - why? Because if you can explain it someone else, you probably understand it better than just having read it/watched. So if you have understanding/patient family and friends have them let you explain your test content. Teach them all about their respiratory system and complications, etc. Or get in a group of your classmates and study flash cards. Rotate who is the one answering and make sure the person quizzing explains the rationale behind all wrong answers. That helped me a lot too. And then the night before the test make sure you get a good amount of sleep and follow it with a healthy well balanced breakfast. Positive self talk too - You can pass this test!

My husband hears a LOT of nursing content LOL. Even if you don't have someone to physically talk to, pretend...talk out loud like you're explaining this to someone, you'll be surprised how much it helps!Good luck on your exam!!

Agree with above posts. A study partner might help, but only if that person agrees to STUDY, not chit chat
Test done and all went well! No grade yet but I'm pretty sure I made either a 90 or very very high 80s. For a mid semester med surg test I'll take it!!!! Considering burn out keep lingering.
I actually found some pod casts that some nursing schools posted, which are very lecture like. That helped ALOT. Hearing different teachers and able to follow along with them in just the ATI book helped out a lot. Sometimes an actual legit lecture helps:) our teacher is awesome but very all over the place so doesn't spend time on one certain subject for more then 2 minutes.
Anyway - planning to use the same game plan for the next test, cardiac!!!
Thanks guys:)
