Feeling overwhelmed

Hi everyone,

I am 25 years old with three kids and taking 4 classes per semester. This is my second semester and I'm taking Anatomy and Physiology I, working with cadavers, and I feel very overwhelmed. I have a GPA of 3.7 but I still don't feel confident. I feel lost in that class, I don't know if I'm overthinking it. Anyone else felt this way and did just fine?

I'm taking 4 classes this semester. First time as a mom. :dummy: I'm looking forward to the other responses. Based on what I've read here the main tip is using a planner to keep on track. I've been getting stressed out but hes teething and I'm trying to over prepare because I want straight As.

Theres books like a&p made incredibly easy and visual that may help. Theres also the coloring book on Amazon. I plan in buying that when I take A&P.

Writing in a journal everyday may help. Hope this helped. You can always PM me. I just turned 25

Thank you, I should definitely buy a book to help me as well. I also want straight A's this semester but I don't know if I'm hoping for too much lol. I will gladly private message you anytime! Feel free to PM me, too.

I feel the same about maybe hoping for too much. I'm sure gonna though. I have college algebra and I suck at math. I've been going to tutoring and it helps

I'm talking algebra, too, this semester. It's not even college algebra yet! It's good that you go to tutoring. I will have to try everything this semester, too. If we put our mind to it, I'm sure we can pass with good grades.

Yep. Use your kids to inspire you. I feel stressed out at times but I look at my lil man and I take a bath or whatever and get right back into it. What other classes are you taking?

You are right, I haven't had a nice warm bath, just quick showers so I should try that lol. I am taking writing 102, and child psychology, how about you?

American history 1, college algebra, learning support 4 college algebra, english comp 1, and a 8 week class they make people in learning support take.

Omg! How's history? I would die. I took English composition I last semester and I decided to go straight to II because I can't stand essays. I want that part of my life done with.

Honestly its boring. He talks for the whole hour and 10 minutes. He doesn't use PowerPoints which bothers me because I'm a visual learner. I have to use my audio recorder

English is ok. I'm just not used to writing anything except 3 point essays

My biggest suggestion is keep organized. Do NOT wait until the last minute for papers, projects, or to study for tests. College is MUCH faster than HS and if you aren't used to it yet, it can take you by surprise. You have to find time during your week that you can devote to studying. Often I end up studying when everyone else is asleep - and when I should be myself. These classes are often tough and have a LOT of info that you need to learn not just temp. memorize.

True. I think I add extra stress on myself by double checking everything to see if I have everything I can done for each class
