Feel like leaving

Not from NC, but you said you never knew this manager. Is it possible that there was even one person that you did work with say something bad about you? Happens all the time. Shame on that manager for listening to gossip. She should take a look at your file, see all your certifications and commendations from pts and families. If you still want to work there, I would suggest a sit down meeting with her, someone you knew well when you worked there, and the pres. But then again, you shouldn't have to prove yourself.

I wouldn't push the situation, because even if you can get your way in, chances are they will make your life H while you are there. I'm not from NC now, but I graduated and started here and look for old buddies on the boards. Keep your chin up, you know what you are worth!

I know that big political machine quite well !! And you're right--they have the market hemmed up! It. Makes. Me. Sick. I left the area b/c of the same stuff! (though I am eligible for rehire) Wouldn't want to go back to "the big house". If anything happens at 1, you're screwed in them ALL.
