I have seen many people posting lately that they will be applying for Fall 2009 admission. I thought it might be cool to post where everyone is planning on applying so we can support each other and maybe get to know who we might be going to school with or at least get to know our competition ;) I have always thought it was really nice to see all of the support people get here on this site. :redbeathe

I am looking at applying to TCU, Baylor, Kaiser, Northeastern, Old Dominion, and Medical University of South Carolina. I don't know if I will apply to all of them or not. Does anyone have any input on applying to this many schools or should I narrow it down? Wish me luck!!!

That's great. Apply to as many schools as possible. It will only increase your chances. I applied to 10 schools and got into the 2nd one that I applied to. My advice to you for applying to this many schools is to start a notebook with all of your info in it. Make copies of everything and keep it in that notebook. Also, stay on top of your schools. Call them 1 month or so prior to deadlines and make sure that they have everything that you sent. I had one school that seemed to lose everything except my application fee. I sent them in the same packet. Good luck.

I have applied to Rush and will apply to Mayo as soon as the application is finished being updated (mid-August). The waiting is already killing me!

indecisiveRN - I might apply to Mayo as well. I just don't know if I can tolerate the Minnesota winters! You might be used to it though living near Chicago. My view may also be a little skewed, I have a neighbor that used to live there and she did not have one good thing to say about them.

Good luck to everyone in the application process. I can only imagine how nervous those of you are that have already turned yours in. I am just getting all of my things in order but haven't officially turned anything in yet but it makes me nervous just to think about it! I hope you hear about interviews soon, keep us posted!

lovegas,

The winters aren't so bad. And besides, it doesn't sound like we'll be outside all that much anyway! Did your friend not like Mayo or Rochester? Why not?

She didn't like Minnesota in general, too cold for her. We're in Utah and she thinks these winters are much more mild in comparison. I'm just going wherever I get accepted, beggars can't be choosers! I just don't know where to draw the line on how many schools to apply to.

I am applying to UNC Charlotte (I work at the hospital that is affiliated with the school), U. of Cincinnati, Georgetown...not sure after that. I guess the more places you apply the better. I have no idea after those 3!

Good luck everyone!

Make sure you let us all know how applications/interviews go and especially acceptances!! This is me, everyday doing all I can and just praying that I am doing enough to get accepted somewhere.:plsebeg:I have my CCRN, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, shadowed a CRNA and volunteer at a free clinic. Any other suggestions on pumping up my application?

I'll be applying to the Northeastern program this Fall 2009, possibly University of New England -- not sure where else yet.

Good luck to all! This is an exciting time.
