fall 2014 4520

Anyone else taking Health assessment and promotion 4520 this 5 weeks? Just want some feedback on the computer assessments and tests. I am freaking out!

Yeah I'm in this class. It isn't that bad. I sort of like the virtual assessment lab thing.

They've changed this class a lot since I took it! Do the virtual assessments replace the ridiculous 15+ page actual assessments? If so....man you guys lucked out!

Yeah no 15 page actual assessments.

Week 1 was 1 DB post 2 replies, a 15 question quiz, and the health history on the virtual patient.

Weeks 2-4 1 Reflective journal on that weeks readings, a 15 questions quiz, and 2 systems assessed on the virtual patient.

Week 5 Discharge Assignment, 1 Discussion board post 2 replies, and a 15 questions quiz.

Um yeah.....consider yourselves lucky!

Those long assessments were torture. Assessment was the one class I looked forward to and it ended up being the one I disliked the most! It sounds like they improved the class by adding the virtual patient.

I wish they would add virtual clients for the cultural assessment. I'm going out on a limb and interviewing my boyfriend's boss who is basically American now except he was born in England. He's lived here for about 25 years.

The class has turned out much better than I thought. Once you get the hang of the virtual assessment, it is pretty good.
