Fall 2015 FNP Clayton State

Hello- has anyone else applied to or accepted to the new FNP program with Clayton State?

I applied and received my letter of acceptance a few weeks ago. Did you apply?

Yes, I applied and was also accepted. I'm so excited to start. Do you know if we will have a formal orientation?

Not sure. I'm excited too but scared at the same time. Will you be working and going to school at the same time?

Yes, I'll be working. I'm going to try to stay full time the 1st semester and then I'll go part time. What about you?

I will be working as well. I may have to go to school part time if it gets too hectic.

I've thought about that too, but I think I'd rather sacrifice now and get it over with. I look forward to this journey and I'm sure we'll be fine. Best of luck to you. I'm sure we will talk again and help each other out.

How soon were you guys accepted from the time you applied? Do you know how many they're accepting? Thinking of applying but know the deadline is quickly approaching!

I had all my documents in by mid March, had the interview around the same time and received my acceptance at the end of March. Not sure how many they are accepting though.

I had all of my stuff in beginning of March, interviewed mid March and found out 4 days later I was in. I believe they are accepting 20 this term.

That's actually pretty good turn around! How long have you guys been nurses?

  • Author

I have been a nurse for 2 years. It's a great turnaround time. Most schools Are 10-12 weeks after deadline. I would encourage you to apply. It's their first FNP class this fall. If you're qualified apply as soon as possible. They may take the first 20 qualified candidates.... Who knows.
