Failed the NCLEX

How did you know you failed?

I've been in your situation. Just give yourself a couple weeks off. Register for your test again and get back into the groove. Try Kaplan's strategy guide, that really helped me understand the types of questions. You can pass, just stay focused and calm your nerves!

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT U R FEELING. I FAILED THE FIRST TIME WITH 85 QUESTIONS. HOWEVER YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. JUST LEARN FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE AND FOCUS ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE DEFICIT. WHAT I DID WAS INVESTED A LITTLE MONEY TOWARDS SOME REVIEW COURSES. FIRST I DID THE KAPLAN REVIEW. COST ME LIKE $500. I TOOK THE ONLINE COURSE AND ANSWERED ALL THE MODULES. THIS WILL TAKE YOU A GOOD MONTH iFOUND THIS REVIEW THE MOST SIMILIAR TO NCLEX QUESTIONS. YOU'LL SEE AS YOU RECOGNIZE THE TESTING STRADEGY NCLEX USES) THEN WHEN I DROVE IN MY CAR I PUT ON CD'S FROM THE FEUR REVIEW. WHICH BY THE WAY ARE AMAAZZZZINNG ... I THINK EVERY NURSE SHOULD HAVE THESE. ANYWAYS THESE CD'S ARE SEPERATED INTO MEDSURGE, PEDS,ETC. REMEMBER U DONT HAVE A LIFE ANYMORE ...YOUR MAIN GOAL IS I MUST PASS NCLEX...LOL. ANYWAYS...AFTER THAT WAS OVER I DID SOME QUESTIONS TO THE SAUNDERS CD WHICH WERE VERY ELEMENTARY COMPARED TO THE KAPLAN. HOWEVER IT HELPED ALOT!!! AFTER I COMPLETED KAPLAN I DID 100 QUESTIONS A DAY FROM SAUNDERS AND STARTED STUDYING FOR 2 HOURS FROM MY ATI BOOK ---THE THEORY PART. IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT BUT IT REALLY ISNT CONSIDERING U SHOULD RETEST WITHIN AT LEAST 4 MONTHS AFTER U FAIL. DONT WORRY U WILL BE FIND...ALSO TRUST GOD.. THATS WHAT I DO... REMEMBER U DO THE POSSIBLE AND GOD WILL DO THE IMPOSSIBLE. IF U DONT ATTEND A CHURCH LOOK FOR A HOUSE OF PEACE WHICH THEY PRAY FOR UR NEEDS...GOD IS SUPERNATURAL AND HONESTLY THE NCLEX TAKES SUPERNATURAL POWERS TO PAS!! HOWEVER STAY POSITIVE AND FULL OF FAITH AND U WILL BE FINE!!

I also got pharm questions and priority delegation questions ....kaplan review will help u out with that ...i think that they are having a special this month..for 50 dollars off.. Anyways ...i had the same fears as u ...and when i took it the second time which was actually friday...i coundnt believed i passed!! And so will u ....just get to it u have no time to waiste ur mind is fresh and dont loose the pace of studying...nclex is hard but nothing impossibe...let us know when u pass!

I'm from Ohio, so I took the Mark Klimek seminar and he went over how to prioritize/delegation but I guess that didn't work haha.

My biggest fear is really that even with 45 days I still won't be prepared and I'll have to take it a third time...

I just took mine on June 1st...had 76 questions....and found out that I passed. What I did though was the Kaplan review class and took all of the question trainer tests. That was really all that I did to review for nclex and Kaplan also has these videos that you can watch and I watched the one over pharmacology which I feel really helped me. Stick with you. YOU CAN DO IT.......BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Now you know how the test is set up and everything and so you will knock it out next time!

Took the exam this morning, did the PV trick when I got home and got the bad pop-up. Worst day ever. Cried myself to sleep.

Just sayin, I know how it feels to be a "huge failure".. I guess we'll just have to try to get over the bitterness and negative thoughts so we can start again and hopefully pass with flying colors on the next try.

I plan to take it again on November..
