Just took the nc1 test today and made a D. I was so frustrated with the way the test presented itself. I am in need of some advice on other ways to study for these test. I am currently a paramedic/firefighter and am completely blown away at the material on the test. It was not at all like I had studied. I was using the study guide and reading the book, but apparently that was not enough. I was so disappointed after the test, all I wanted to do was quit. I am eligible to take it in 60 days, of course I have to pay another 215.00 to take it. If anyone has ANY suggestion pls fill me in. Thanks and god bless.....

The online practice exams cost extra, but they really helped me to know what to expect. You can make note of the difficult questions and it will help you to know what to look over before the real thing.
Best of luck! Hang in there! Just finished the program recently and now it's all worth it.

some of the questions were like, "Of the following what is considered objective behavior". Then it listed the following: your pt grimaces as he is moved, pt states he is in severe pn, pt states he needs pn meds, Pt denies c/p.? I naturally picked the first one. As I recall the objective behavior is how the pt presents, and subjective is what the pt complains of? The other one was that a wife has just found out that the husband is terminally ill. They wanted to know a diagnosis for the wife? So after all that was said and done, I had never been so mentally drained before in my life. But I refuse to let it beat me, the good side is at least I know what to expect now. Thanks for the web site infor, God bless.......
