so I have already had excelsior look at my transcripts but I don't think I can do microbiology self paced and test out so I want to take an online program with deadlines and all that but can I do that after my transcripts have been looked at? I have not enrolled yet. Also which online colleges are the best, quickest, and more importantly the cheapest for taking some prerequisites? I would like to take online classes through an online college and then test out of other classes but I'm not sure if this is allowed. I'm planning on calling sometime tomorrow but I'd like advise if anyone has done this or taken classes through a good online school that they would recommend...

Good luck on finding the right school. Always weigh your options and capabilities. I recently enrolled through excelsior and have finished 3 exams already. One was Microbiology! Trust me I honestly thought I would fail but it really wasn't that bad. The best thing was the $65 dollar purchase for the practice exam. Well if you do chose Excelsior let me know and I'll send you notes!
Again.... good luck!

I took my prerequisites at regular colleges. Most of the courses were already done by the time I applied to EC and it was easy and convenient to do other courses locally. You should talk to an advisor before you do any courses. But I just had some transcripts sent in for recent classes and they went ahead and evaluated them anyway. Regular classes should not be a problem. Good luck with your tests.

Hi, I just signed up at raritan valley community college with two online courses Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. I have not been accepted at a program but I know that these two classes are going to be needed when I do find the right program. I don't know where you live but I just faxed my info to them this evening and they are taking care of it tommorrow. They were very nice and helpful
