Excelsior LS1,2,3

I did LS 2 first because everyone was saying it was the most difficult at the time. So I wanted to get it out of the way. Then I did LS 3, and finally LS 1. They were all devastating for me even though I passed them on the first attempt. But I only studied for 2 weeks; 1 week for LS 3. The LS series are more difficult, so prepare thoroughly. Good luck!!

I wouldn't recommend doing what I did with ANY of the exams. I loved my education with EC but I have to admit, my entire education with them was one huge CLOSE CALL because I went so fast. I caused myself a lot of unnecessary stress by not taking my time. It all worked out for me by the Grace of God but had it taken an opposite effect.....well, I shutter to even think about it.

After doing LS 1 and 2, I am working on LS3 which will be my last academic class with EC before FCCA. I got A's on 1 and 2 (hope I'm not jinxing myself). I do it the old school way. I read and highlight the chapters, do both EC practice tests and take notes from them, note cards, Saunders RN NCLEX revies CD and book and Med Surg Success book.

I don't know how you guys do those classes so quick but more power to you. I kind of like to read the texts to get the meat of the subject, it all won't stick but I feel like it gives me a good background re the logic behind the topics. Then the note cards come with me every where. You can read one at a red light, on line at the store etc. I gave up on SG 101 long ago, I feel it is an inferior product. You might pass the class but it left me feeling like I had no good grasp of the subject. Maybe in conjunction with the text books it's ok.
