Excelsior does not have an LPN-BSN program but they do have a wonderful LPN-RN program. After you are done with that, you can go on to the RN-BSN or RN-MSN program. There is one weekend clinical from Friday to Sunday when you have completed all of the nursing theory exams and are within 10 credits of completing your general education requirements. You will love the program. It was a wonderful experience for me.:yeah:
PS: The classes are designed in that you study at your own pace and when you feel you know the material, you go and take your exam. I found the best way to keep it moving was to schedule my exam first, before I even started studying, and then proceded to study as though I was studying for a final exam in the classroom. After all, each one of these exams are a final exam in that you get the college credit with every one that you pass.
Great!!! I just spoke to one of the reps. I think Im going to do it and thats a good idea on the tests may have to steal it:D if you dont mind. Did you find that the books helped you or did you not use the books at all?
Nope, no books. Lots of resources on the internet like studygroups 101, Lisa Arends notes found on ebay, prior knowledge from med/surg experience, friends from websites like this one that have notes saved that they are more than willing to send to you, the Electronic Peer Network with students with common goals, etc....anywhere there is support and information. I've met so many people from all over the country during my college experience. The connections are addicting and once you reach your goals or even before, you can come here or wherever to vent or express your joy in passing your exam or whatever the reason is for the moment. It's wonderful!
