Excelsior Exams

With this program, is it true you can just take all the exams without enrolling in the courses? Does your transcript look different either way? Also has anyone got their GenEd credits to transfer from excelsior (I'm pretty sure the math and sciences won't)?

Bonus question: Since you don't recieve federal aid in the associates program, do I have to start payment on my school loans that I have already, or do they still consider me to be in school, even if I'm only taking the "credits by exam"?

    No this program will not qualify to defer your student loans. Sciences without labs are difficult to transfer as BSN programs require micro & A&P with labs.

    Most of the nursing program classes are challenge exam based only two right now have online classes ( Health & Safety and Transitions to RN) The rest are treated like CLEP exams are at other schools with the exception that you receive a grade instead of pass/fail. You need to be enrolled in the school of nursing in order to take the nursing exams.
