Erwin LPN program

Well I got a 79.4% overall score on the TEAS. But the scary part is that was good enough to be in 88th percentile ranking of everyone who took it. Only 12% did better than 79.4!!!!

Wow! That is great! Good for you. I do hope that you get in. The scores came back really fast, how long since you took the test that your score was available? How did you do in each area?

I did really well on the Reading, 95% overall. On the English 85.5%. Too embarrased to mention the math and science. The four together averaged 79.4% which put me in the 88th percentile rank. Think about that for a moment....how badly did everyone else have to do for me to score that high in the percentile? SCARY!!! I don't know if the mean scores include the 8am test from just this morning (I hope it does). I tested on the 2nd and got my scores today.

You should be proud. You did incredibly well on the Reading and English portions. I am figuring that you probably averaged around 69 on the Math and /sciene- nothing to be ashamed of as you last did algebra 12 yrs ago.

This tells me that most must have done much lower than you in the math and science and probably around 75% and below in the english /Reading.

I don't believe the reason that they gave me for initiating the Teas test. I checked the BON site and their PNCLEX scores have been in the 70s to 80s which is good but not great.

GALEN had incrdebily good pass rate - close ot 90s or over. I think that Erwin realizes that they have to be picky about who they let in in order to keep Pass scores at an acceptable level.

This is just my 2 cents.

Yeah they did mention at orientation they were moving to the TEAS to better gauge applicants they felt would succeed in the program. I'm still irked that I didn't get at least an 80%...It's the OCD in me!!

Did anyone else take the teas for the LPN program at erwin? and that is the score to actually get into the program? I don't think i did as well as i should have so i am just worry.

How did you do overall and how did you do on the English and Math portions?

My score was 70. i got a 90 in English and less than 50 in math

I think that you may squeak by. i believe that i heard the passing score was 70%. What was percentile rank or program rank. I believe that this will tell you how you did in relation to others who took the test that day.

WOOOHOOO. I received my acceptance postcard today. I got my 2nd choice, which is the March 2010 class.

Thanks. March is fine with me, as it gives me an extra couple of months to save money and an extra couple months to TRY to sell my condo....and then move back in with mom.
